These terms cover your use of notthatguypal.com (the "site"). By paying or using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
What this is
The site is an entertainment product. You pay an amount you choose, and your total is added to a public leaderboard under the name you enter. A higher total ranks higher. Nothing else is promised or delivered.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and be allowed to make the payment.
Payments
- All amounts are in US dollars. You choose the amount, from $1 to $10,000 per payment.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Your rank is the total of everything paid under the same name. Names that match once spaces, punctuation and capital letters are ignored count as the same name.
- Payments are final except as described in the refund policy.
- You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your payment.
No guarantees about rank
Someone can pay more than you at any time, so your rank can change immediately and without notice. We don't guarantee that you will reach or keep any position, or how long you keep it. The daily board resets at midnight Eastern Time. Rank has no cash value and no prize is attached to it.
Names and messages
Names and messages you submit are shown publicly. Don't submit anything illegal, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or that includes personal information, links, or someone else's name without permission. We may edit, hide or remove any name, message or entry at our discretion, and we don't have to refund the payment when we do.
Not affiliated
The site's name and theme refer to an internet meme. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any person, company or work referenced by that meme. Any audio is played by embedding third-party videos, and the rights to that audio belong to their owners.
Availability
The site is provided as is. It may be unavailable, change, or shut down at any time. If we shut it down, we may stop the leaderboard without refunds, except where the law requires otherwise.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.
Changes and law
We may update these terms, and the date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and disputes will be handled in the courts located there.
